Jefferson County Judge of Probate
Sherri Coleman Friday graduated from the University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Judge Friday practiced law in Jefferson County, Alabama for 18 years prior to her election as Jefferson County Probate Judge, Place 2 in November, 2006, and re-election in 2012. Judge Friday hears cases involving adult involuntary commitments, adoptions, probate of wills, guardianships and conservatorships, estate and conservator settlements, condemnations, claims against estates, legitimations, name changes and petitions for sale of real estate.

J. Winston Busby is a shareholder in Dentons Sirote’s Birmingham, Alabama office. He serves as the co-chair of the Dentons Sirote Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice group. Winston provides counsel to individuals, families, and business owners on estate planning, trust planning, wealth preservation, probate, and tax planning, emphasizing strategies to minimize both estate and income taxes. He also works with closely held business owners on a variety of issues, including generational transfers and succession and tax planning. Additionally, he assists fiduciaries with the administration of trusts and estates.

Karen is a Principal of Pearce, Bevill, Leesburg, Moore, P.C. She holds both a Bachelors and Masters of Accountancy degree from Auburn University, and has over 20 years of experience in public accounting. Karen joined the Firm in 2002 and specializes in small business accounting, tax services, and estate planning. Her specialty areas include closely held businesses, estates, trusts, and nursing homes.
- Judi Z. Wurm
Estate Administration Manager
Judi Z. Wurm is the Estate Administration Manager for Regions Bank Private Wealth Department. She graduated from the University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and worked for AmSouth Bank Trust Department for 21 years in various capacities in Estate and Trust Administration. She then practiced law in Jefferson County, Alabama for 10 years, concentrating in estate and trust planning and estate administration. She then returned to banking, joining Regions Bank in her current role as Estate Administration Manager.
